    Cheque Security Features
    SMUDGE TEST
    Smudge test on the Cheque's back shows that both left denomination panels will smear when wet and the right panels do not. It's one of the easiest and most effective tests for Cheque authenticity.
    WATERMARK
    Watermark of the Centurion is visible when held to the light.
    HOLOGRAPHIC FOIL
    The reshaped holographic foil shows shifting images of the currency and denomination, the Centurion, and the American Express logo when tilted.

    Signature Requirements
    U.S. Dollar Travelers Cheque
    $20, $50, $100, $500, $1,000
    The purchaser signs in the lower left corner of the Cheque while the person accepting the Cheque compares it to the upper left corner signature.
    U.S. Dollar Cheque for Two®
    $20, $50, $100
    Either purchaser signs in the lower left corner of the Cheque while the person accepting the Cheque compares it to one of the signatures in the upper left corner.
    U.S. Dollar Gift Cheque
    $25, $50, $100
    Gift Cheques are given to the recipient unsigned, and the recipient immediately signs in the upper left corner.

    On cashing the Cheque, the recipient signs in the lower left corner while the person accepting the Cheque compares it to the signature in the upper left corner.
